What we did today: Today we finished going over the answers from the study guide.  We then started talking about Iraq and the war.
 
Homework: Students need to finish the questions about the Iraq profile for tomorrow.

We continued working on our Career Powerpoints.  Final projects are due on Wednesday.  We discussed today the difference between a boring, good, and great power point slide.  I am excited to see the final products!

What we did today: Today the students read about OPEC, westernization of the Middle East, women's rights in the Middle East, cultural clothing in the Middle East, and the disappearing nomadic culture.  Students also received back several pieces of work that they need to use to study for an upcoming test after break.

Now that you have been pre-tested in push ups, sit-ups, sit n reach and shuttle run for the Presidential Fitness Test, what areas do you most need to focus on to show improvement?  You can compare your scores to the chart posted in the gym.  What will you do outside of class to improve your fitness level?

What we did today: Today students read about one of the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey, and Syria.  They identified who they were, how they came to power, issues they have had to deal with since becoming the leader, and how they dealt with those issues.
 
Homework: If students did not finish the class work, they were to finish it at home for the group work tomorrow.
